ThE Rising Project

Climate change communication doesn’t have to be doom and gloom—and The Rising Project proves it.
Rising is a student-run climate creative studio at the University of Oregon that transforms complex environmental issues into engaging, accessible campaigns.
Programs include interactive campaigns that make sustainability tangible and compelling. The flagship bEARTHday Games engages 500+ students annually through unexpected, high-energy activations from climate-themed obstacle courses to gamified recycling challenges, turning awareness into active participation.
Rising also partners with Clean Creatives on a national campus pledge program, helping students commit to not seeking work with companies that contribute to fossil fuel emissions. By reframing sustainability as engaging, social, and action-oriented, the studio inspires students to see climate action as an opportunity, not a burden.
